Posting Rules

by on March 4, 2010

Hello, everyone —

As discussed in class, here are the posting rules. Any posts not conforming will not move forward in Jordan’s plan to make resources for next year’s students.

1. Name — your name must be your name (not a username), properly capitalized and spaced. That is: Ross Donaldson, not donaldsr or rossdonaldson or ross donaldson.

2. Category — your posts belong in one and only one category. If your posts are uncategorized or in more than one category, this is incorrect.

3. Tags — you can tag your posts with as many tags as you fancy. I recommend selecting your tags from among common tags used by other people, but you can tag however you’d like.

Again: with questions of format or execution, feel free to email me directly, or to post a comment here.

Regarding our names — I assume we don’t need to explicitly add our names at the bottom of our posts? Having an appropriately formatted username is enough?

Just curious to know, if ‘uncategorized’ category is not allowed, then why it is there?

  3. I would also push for further refining the uncategorized category as well. Although I am also assuming that at the end of our process of updating our posts that that category will no longer be needed.

Thanks again Ross for making this a much more user focused blog, I am hoping that we all can continue to have a space to share ideas.
