This paper talks about various trends followed over years to retain top performers of a company.

keeping employees motivated and happy is the key to any successful business or team, yet it is also one of the hardest things to accomplish. Companies, managers, directors, and presidents are recognizing how important it is to retain the best talent, while applying different strategies to keep hold of them. In recent past, companies used to attract and retain senior level and highly skilled employees through highly customized compensation and benefits packages that meet an individual’s specific needs.

The million dollar question is: Does that still prevail? ‘No’. Today, money is no more the key motivator amongst high performers. From monetary to non-monetary to not believing in incentives, there has been a dramatic change in strategies employers come up with to keep these top performers motivated. It is an art which only a few companies can implement successfully.
