Emerging Issues Paper 1 – Green: Necessary, Apolitical, and Competitive

The concept of “green-ness” in business has become politicized and trendy, and has thus lost credibility. Further, there is a dominant belief that becoming green comes at a cost of competitiveness. In this paper, I intend to show that being sustainable is neither political nor optional, and that, through excellent innovation, the need to reform represents a superb opportunity to excel.
